As women we are very creative, we love inventing and we like changes especially in our homes.
We can take any old furniture and transform it into something totally new. We move the bed from one side to another, new curtains, new bedding. We usually like to change the colors depending on the season by coordinating each room of the house. And when we say we are going to clean, we really clean, we take out dust, we throw things that we do not use among other tasks that we do very well leaving the house fragrant, and gleaming and looking like another house!
Meditating on that, I compare it to our spiritual life, which we often abandon, allowing the marks of the past to remain. The spiritual spider webs begin to emerge, allowing our interior to weaken and roots of bitterness to grow. Did you know that the eyes are considered the window of the soul? When our inside house is dirty, sad and messy there is no makeup or smile that can hide it.
I would like you to take a time of analysis looking inside yourself. Ask God to give you discernment by helping you to scrutinize and extract what should not be there. Allow God to perfume your interior so that from it rivers of spring of living water will flow and make you a new person. May your physical and spiritual home be clean smelling of peace and victory.
