Let’s talk Makeup with Millie: Dry, flaky face? <br>Hablemos del Maqui

English: Are you dealing with dry, flaky skin especially during cold winter months? Well as a makeup artist I can’t speak enough about this topic. I constantly have women sit in my chair who want flawless makeup applications but their skin is poorly cared for. I can’t fix someone’s skin problem in a 1-2 hour makeup session. It is important that this be a personal daily routine in order to achieve the best results.Makeup looks terrible on dry skin!!! It intensifies the flakiness that is already there. The best makeup application in the world will not hide dry patches. It is necessary for us to do our due diligence. All year long I add oil drops into my face moisturizer before I apply it on my face and neck. During the winter months I drop in extra drops especially at bedtime. I allow my skin to soak it in overnight then I reapply some in the morning at least 10-15 minutes before I apply my makeup. If I’m not wearing any that day than at least I’ve protected my face from the cold. You can choose to buy expensive products which will have added oils in them or you can choose to add it yourself so that you can control how much you put in. You don’t have to break your bank account for this. A few drops daily of melted coconut oil in your moisturizer and weekly exfoliation go a long way.A smooth canvas equals flawless makeup! For more information or to get a professional makeup session with me contact me at 484-794-0120 or maq261@gmail.com.
