Let’s talk Makeup with MillieWinter skin hydration! The winter months can be awful on our facial skin, from dryness to chaffing, your face needs to be extra cared for in order to keep it smooth, beautiful and silky soft.Of all the things I mention, water may be the most important. We tend to slow our water intake during the winter season perhaps because it makes us cold but we need to understand that it is essential for our bodies and skin. Our skin needs extra help during the cold season and water is our best source of hydrating it.Exfoliation is also very important because it gets rid of dead skin cells/flakes and allows your face to soak up moisture better. A natural way to exfoliate is using granulated sugar mixed in some coconut oil and rubbing gently over the face and neck while in the shower and rinsing thoroughly afterward.Once out of the shower pat your face and skin dry instead of rubbing your water off. While your face is damp apply some oil onto it such as Vitamin E oil or natural oils such as avocado or olive oil so that your face remains smooth and free from drying or chaffing. I usually drop a few drops of oil into my moisturizer and apply it over my face and neck. Don’t forget to apply it over your lips as well and add lip balm afterward.Priming your face well before your makeup application is sure to give it a beautiful glow. For more information or to get a professional makeup session with me contact me at 484-794-0120 or maq261@gmail.com.
