English: Have you ever found yourself asking “What is craft beer?” Some say it is beer made in a traditional way by a small brewery, however for me trying to define craft beer is difficult; as it’s really more of a personal opinion. I feel it’s hard to define, as each individual beer brand is very unique.I kept hearing all this buzz about Craft beer so I was curious to learn more and I connected with the President/CEO/Founder of DeWalt Brewing Company, Christopher Dewalt. I would personally call someone like him a “beer geek” but let’s stick with Dewalt, I’m sure he will appreciate that more. When I met Dewalt, I asked him “What made you go into the brewing business?” He stated he had a dream. That’s when I pulled in my chair closer. It was interesting to learn that he was tired of working many years in the construction and telecommunication industries with no growth, and then one day due to this vivid dream he decided to create a business to achieve his goals. In this dream he saw his last name above a warehouse that read “Dewalt”. When he awoke he instantly knew what it was he needed to do, so right away he started attending brewing clubs. Christopher DeWalt took a leap of faith starting this business. As an entrepreneur myself, I will guarantee  him that when you are passionate about something, you will put in way more than a 40 hour work week however the struggle is different, can’t explain it but it’s what I call a great struggle.DeWalt states that each of his beer recipes use only the finest hops, wheat, barley, and other ingredients to combine for a fine tasting brew. The smoothness of each taste is unsurpassed and sure to leave you lingering for more. You must experience it for yourself. I must say I had a tasting of his beers called Noisey Lever and of his Mixed Berry Cider and they were both super different but equally great. He also has a third beer called Ruby Diamond, can’t wait to taste that one. If I had to rate the two beers that I had, I would say they are not to bitter and not too sweet, just a perfect blend. I was excited to hear that someone is brewing up a big offer for Mr. DeWalt.I hope to see his beers in every bar one day and I can proudly say I knew met him when he was just beginning. DeWalt is living, breathing, proof that it’s possible to follow a dream. Are you following yours?
